1 - What is a Zombie Walk? A zombie walk (also known as a zombie mob, zombie march, zombie horde, zombie lurch, zombie shamble, zombie shuffle or zombie pub crawl) is an organized public gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes.
(please see Zombie Walk on Wikipedia for a full description) 2 - What is a Zombie anyways? A zombie is a creature that appears in folklore and popular culture typically as a reanimated corpse or a mindless human being.

The earliest zombie walk on record was held in August, 2001 in Sacramento, California. 4 - What type of costume is appropriate? Go crazy - lots of gore, blood and rotting flesh. Here are some of last years costumes: And here is a link to some photos of Vancouver 2009 Zombie Walk! 5 - Is it free? Yes - All you have to do is turn up on Sunday 24th October at 4pm.
Note we are collecting food contributions for the Food Bank.
If you can please bring unopened food in a sealed container to the IGA car park. All donations will be given to the Sechelt Food Bank. 6 - Do I have to dress up to take part? No - You don't have to dress up as a Zombie to participate.
You can still participate as a Zombie victim. Victims appear to be innocent bystanders who are marauded by the Zombies.
You can also come out and just watch the feast of rotting flesh. 7 - What is appropriate etiquette for a Zombie Walk? The Gibsons Zombie walk is a public event - we ask that all Zombies behave appropriately:
  • No alcohol
  • Please stay on sidewalks and pay attention to traffic at all times
  • While shambling and groaning near public is ok - please do not impede bystanders
  • Only attack the participating Zombie victims - who are part of the walk
8 - Who can attend? Everyone is welcome to attend this event.
Please note that children should be accompanied by an adult. 9 - Where is Gibsons? Gibsons is a small town located on the west coast of Canada in British Columbia. 10 - How do I get to Gibsons? Click here to get directions to Gibsons. 11 - How long is the walk? The walk is about 2Km long.
